Blink vs Wyze: what a year costs at every tier
At the top tier both charge $19.99 a month and $199.99 a year, to the cent. Below that they diverge — and one keeps footage four times longer.
I run SecureNest HQ. I do not test cameras — I read what the companies publish about them: plan pages, support articles, privacy notices and terms, and I record the date I read each one. That method is the whole point. Prices and plan names in this industry change often enough that most published comparisons are wrong within months, and a dated figure from the maker's own page is worth more than a confident undated one from anywhere else. Every article says what was checked, when, and what was not. Corrections are welcome and are made with the new date noted.

Costs
Both are Amazon's. Blink publishes its plan prices on its own support site; Ring's pages return 406. That gap is the comparison.
Privacy
Ring's own help page says sharing a clip sends your home address and account email to the investigator. Voluntary, disclosed, and rarely mentioned.
Costs
Cam Unlimited is $99.99 a year against $119.88 paid monthly. Wyze's own plans page quotes $99 instead, and never uses the word annual.
Costs
Cam Plus annual went from $19.99 to $29.99 in March 2026. The bigger change is the discount against paying monthly, which fell from 44% to 16%.
Costs
Both brands renamed their subscription this year, so most of what you will read about them is out of date. What the plans cost now.
Guides
Most advice assumes you own the porch. In a flat you control almost nothing at the door — so the leverage is earlier, before it arrives.
Renting
Usually yes — but four documents decide it, and your lease is only one. What to check before you fix anything to a wall you don't own.
Reference
"Works without a subscription" means three different things, and only one leaves you with footage. Checked against each maker’s own pricing.
