What a eufy subscription costs, and the one that is not for cameras

Four Cloud Backup prices, all published. Plus a second eufy subscription at $15 a month that buys shipping, not storage — and which eufy's own page prices twice.

A eufy subscription cost starts at $3.99 a month, and eufy publishes every figure. That is worth saying first because four of the ten brands this site tracks do not — and because eufy was twice recorded here as one of them, wrongly, before anybody found the right page.

There are four Cloud Backup prices. There is also a fifth subscription that costs more than any of them and stores no video at all. Everything below was read from eufy.com/cloud-storage on 22 September 2026.

The page's own finding is that eufy's cheap plan cannot be bought twice, so a second camera turns $39.99 a year into $139.99 a year. The HomeBase is what the cloud plan is a backup of — the footage is already on it, recorded for nothing, and that copy does not get more expensive when you add a camera.

What does a eufy subscription cost?

Cloud Backup Basic is $3.99 a month or $39.99 a year and covers one device. Cloud Backup Plus is $13.99 a month or $139.99 a year and covers all of them. eufy marks the annual Plus plan Recommended on its own page, and all four figures were read from eufy.com/cloud-storage on 22 September 2026.

Every eufy Cloud Backup price, from eufy's own page
PlanMonthlyYearlyDevices coveredVideo kept
Cloud Backup Basic$3.99$39.99One30 days
Cloud Backup Plus$13.99$139.99All30 days

Read from eufy.com/cloud-storage on 22 September 2026. eufy marks the annual Plus plan Recommended. Retention is identical on both plans.

Paying yearly saves $7.89 on Basic and $27.89 on Plus — about 16.5% either way, which is an ordinary discount and not the interesting number on this page.

What a year costs, and what the second camera costs
ItemCost of one year$
Basic, paid yearly — one camera$39.99
Basic, paid monthly — one camera$47.88
Plus, paid yearly — every camera$139.99
Plus, paid monthly — every camera$167.88

Monthly figures are eufy's own price multiplied by twelve. Paying yearly saves $7.89 on Basic and $27.89 on Plus — about 16.5% on both. The gap that matters is not monthly against yearly, it is Basic against Plus: $100 a year, triggered by owning a second camera.

How long does eufy Cloud Backup keep video?

Thirty days, on both plans. Every plan card says stores videos for every 30 days, and eufy describes it elsewhere on the same page as 30 days of rolling cloud storage with unlimited capacity. What the extra money buys is devices, not days.

Why does the second camera cost $100, not $40?

You cannot buy the cheap plan twice. eufy prints the same sentence on all four plan cards: repeatedly purchasing the same package will extend service only for the original device, not for additional ones. So a second camera means moving from Basic at $39.99 a year to Plus at $139.99 a year.

The sentence that decides what two cameras cost

  • eufy, on all four plan cards: "To cover multiple devices, please select a service package that includes multi-device support. Repeatedly purchasing the same package will extend service only for the original device, not for additional ones."
  • What that means at the till: a second camera cannot be covered by a second $39.99 Basic plan. It requires Cloud Backup Plus.
  • So the real price of camera two is $100 a year — the difference between Basic at $39.99 and Plus at $139.99, not the $39.99 a buyer would reasonably expect to pay again.

This is the only figure on this page that eufy does not print itself. It is arithmetic on two prices eufy does print.

So the honest price of a second camera on cloud backup is not another $39.99. It is the $100 gap between Basic and Plus. A buyer comparing eufy against Arlo on the strength of the $39.99 figure is comparing a one-camera price against a whole-house one.

What is eufy Plus Membership, and is it the camera plan?

eufy Plus Membership costs $15.00 a month. That is nearly four times Cloud Backup Basic, and it stores no video. What it buys is free shipping, eufyCredits at 1.5 times and six extra months of warranty — a loyalty scheme for the shop, sold on the same page as the camera plans.

The other eufy subscription, which stores no video
What it isMonthlyYearlyWhat it buys
Cloud Backup Basic$3.99$39.99Video storage, one device
Cloud Backup Plus$13.99$139.99Video storage, all devices
eufy Plus Membership$15.00$135 or $138.00Shipping, credits, warranty — no storage

eufy Plus Membership is the most expensive monthly subscription eufy sells to a camera owner and it stores nothing. Its annual price appears twice in the same page's data: $135/year in the membership panel, $138.00/yr in the cart block. Read 22 September 2026.

What eufy charges a camera owner each month, by subscription
ItemPer month$
Cloud Backup Basic — one camera$3.99
Cloud Backup Plus — every camera$13.99
eufy Plus Membership — no storage at all$15.00

The most expensive monthly subscription eufy sells a camera owner is the one that stores no video. Read from eufy.com/cloud-storage on 22 September 2026.

This matters because of what people type. Somebody searching for the cost of a eufy subscription is shown both, and the expensive one is the one with the word Membership on it.

Why does eufy publish two annual prices for it?

$135 a year in the membership panel. $138.00 a year in the block that renders in the cart. Both arrive in the same response from the same URL. The membership panel also carries a compare-at price of $150.00, so the $135 is presented as the discount — which makes the $138 harder to explain, not easier.

Where it appears on the pageAnnual priceShown against
Membership panel (plus_member)$135/yearcompare-at $150.00
Cart block (cartMemberSettings)$138.00/yrno compare-at

Both were served from eufy.com/cloud-storage in a single request on 22 September 2026, in the page's own data. Which figure a buyer is charged is not published and was not tested — the checkable claim is that the page carries both.

This site found the same thing at Wyze in September: one plan, one page, two annual figures. It is not evidence of anything dishonest. It is evidence that a company with a marketing panel and a cart has two places to write a number and no process that checks they agree.

Which one a buyer is actually charged is not published, and this site does not reach a checkout to find out. What is checkable is that the page says both.

Is a eufy subscription free?

No — but eufy cameras work without one. Cloud Backup is a paid service in eufy's own words. The recording is the part that is free: video goes to a HomeBase hub or to the camera itself, with no plan, which is why eufy is one of the brands that genuinely works with nothing bought.

That free local route is the subject of this site's page on whether eufy works without a subscription, and it is the reason the cheap plan is optional rather than necessary.

What $3.99 buys is a second copy on Amazon's servers for thirty days, so that footage survives the camera being stolen or broken. That is a real thing to want. It is not the same thing as the camera working.

Three things eufy says about the service that are not prices

  • It renews by itself. eufy: "It will automatically renew before the end of the current period, at which point your credit card will be charged for the next cycle."
  • You cannot set it up on the website you bought it from. eufy: "Configuration through the eufy official website is not supported." It has to be done in the eufy Security app.
  • Buy it with the wrong email and you cannot reach it. eufy: "Logging in with a different email will prevent you from accessing the service."

All three are answers in eufy's own FAQ on the Cloud Backup page.

The way to owe eufy nothing a year

Specifications as published by each maker, read 22 September 2026. Nothing was tested and nothing is ranked. eufy's own free route is local recording, and the HomeBase is the hardware that does it — bought once instead of $39.99 every year, and it is the same footage.

How this was checked

Every figure here was read from eufy.com/cloud-storage on 22 September 2026 and matched against the reading this site took on 28 August 2026. Nothing had moved. The four Cloud Backup prices appear both in the page's rendered comparison panel and in the product records behind it, under the SKUs CB001M011, CB001Y011, CB002M014 and CB002Y014, and the two figures agree.

The site's subscription tracker carries these prices beside every other brand's, each with the date it was read. Nothing on this page was tested, and no price here came from a review site.

Corrections

This site twice recorded eufy as publishing no prices, and both times it was wrong. On 19 August 2026 every documented membership URL returned 404 and that was written down as eufy no longer publishing anywhere we could read. On 27 August the four figures above were found at eufy.com/cloud-storage, in plain HTML, with no login — a page nobody had looked for. The wrong claim ran in the tracker and in three posts, one of them the site's most-visited page, for about a week.

The lesson was written into this project's own working notes: a 404 is not a company's silence, and the check that catches it is reading the maker's own sitemap before recording anything as unpublished. It is repeated here because the page correcting the error should carry it, not just the file nobody outside reads.

If a figure here is wrong or has moved since 22 September 2026, tell us and it is corrected with the new date noted. Prices on this page are dated on purpose.

One note on the name. eufy's own banner now reads "Brand upgraded: eufy is now Anker eufy, under the unified Anker brand." The plans, the prices and the app are unchanged. As with every rename this site has tracked, the thing that changed is the word you would search for.
