Wyze Cam Plus annual is up 50%, and the plan page doesn't show it
Cam Plus annual went from $19.99 to $29.99 in March 2026. The bigger change is the discount against paying monthly, which fell from 44% to 16%.

Open wyze.com's service plans page and count the prices. There are three: $2.99, $9.99 and $19.99. Every one of them is a monthly figure, and the annual price is not on the page at all.
That matters this year, because the annual price is the one that moved. In March 2026 Wyze raised Cam Plus annual from $19.99 to $29.99 — and the page where you would go to choose a plan does not carry either number.
Wyze put its annual price up 50% and did not print it on the page where you choose a plan. If a company's pricing being hard to find is itself the reason to look elsewhere, this one prints a free column on its own.

By 50%, from $19.99 a year to $29.99. Wyze published the change itself, in a support article titled “Important Cam Plus Annual Price Update”, and gave 2 March 2026 as the date it takes effect.
The monthly price did not move. Cam Plus remains $2.99 a month for a single camera, exactly as it was. Only the annual option was re-priced, which is why a great deal of what has been written about Wyze's pricing is still correct about the part that stayed the same and wrong about the part that changed.

Why is the new price not on the plans page?
Because that page lists monthly prices only. Cam Plus at $2.99, Cam Unlimited at $9.99 and Cam Unlimited Pro at $19.99 — three tiers, three monthly figures, no annual column anywhere.
We are not suggesting anything was concealed. Wyze announced the increase in its own support centre and says renewal notices go out at least 30 days ahead, which is more warning than several of its competitors give. But the practical effect is that a person comparing plans on the page built for comparing plans cannot see the number that changed.
Is paying annually still worth it?
Less than it was, and this is the part worth your attention. The price rise is the headline; the collapse of the discount is the story.
Twelve months of Cam Plus at $2.99 comes to $35.88. Against that, the old $19.99 annual saved you $15.89 — a 44% discount, which is a genuinely unusual deal and a good reason to commit for a year. The new $29.99 saves $5.89, or 16.4%.

Wyze describes the new price as “still a 17% discount from our monthly Cam Plus subscription”. That is accurate, and it is the smaller half of what happened. The discount fell from 44% to 16%, and the practical effect is easiest to see in months of service: paying a year up front used to save you about five and a third months of Cam Plus. It now saves about two.

At your first renewal on or after 2 March 2026. Wyze's own wording is that a renewal date before that day was charged at the old price for that term, and one on or after it is charged at the new price.
So the increase did not arrive for everyone at once. It has been rolling through the subscriber base since March as each anniversary comes round, which is why some people are still discovering it now — including, quite possibly, the reason you are reading this.
Is Cam Plus still cheaper than Cam Unlimited?
For one or two cameras, comfortably. Annual Cam Plus works out at $2.50 a month for a single camera, against $9.99 a month for Cam Unlimited covering as many as you like.
The crossover is around four cameras. Three cameras on annual Cam Plus is $89.97 a year against $119.88 for Cam Unlimited paid monthly; at four it is $119.96, and Unlimited wins from there. Cam Unlimited also has an annual price of $99.99, published on Wyze's product page but not on the plans page, which moves the crossover slightly earlier without changing which side of four you are on. If you have a doorbell and three cameras, the plan that looks four times more expensive is the cheaper one. That arithmetic is unchanged by this increase — it just moved by one camera, because the per-camera option got dearer.

One thing the table cannot show: Cam Unlimited and Cam Unlimited Pro are listed monthly only, the same as Cam Plus. Whether they carry an annual option at all is not stated on the page.
How do I avoid this happening again?
Buy a camera that records to storage you own. Reolink, eufy and TP-Link Tapo all write to a card in the camera or a hub in the house, and a plan you never bought cannot be re-priced, renamed or retired.
That is the subject of which cameras work without a subscription. It is also the pattern behind Nest Aware and Ring Home no longer existing — within a few months, two of the largest brands renamed the subscription you were told to buy and a third raised the price of the version that saves you money. The subscription is the product that changes. The card in the camera is not.
